Overall, belter Afghanistan war film. Some of the stories are seen no logical and director had failed to grasp the attention. Its too exaggerated to show that they are angels and the locals are bad devils. Thats what sucks about the millitary if the guys on the ground say it cant be held some ass behind a desk thats never seen it tells u to shut up and take orders then blames it on the dead soldiers.

Wanna see one of the best of Mel Gibson's directing and producing roles in a movie. check out Apocalypto. The only thing that could of saved this movie would of been if the DEA agent had been home. The DEA agent should of been Danny Glover with cough syrup in hand. I was in the korengal valley when this happened. we could hear it all and couldnt do a thing. God bless this guys. American always win the wars; in movies. Why so cringe. How stupid to build a camp with such high cliffs all around. Really. I mean this is just the icing on the cake. Someone paid by the army and trained by the army decided it was clever to build the camp there. Who was the idiot. He should be jailed. he's guilty of the deaths just as the Taliban are. Moronic thing to have done.

Great battle scene, as good asLone survivor. Excellent re-enactment of the battle of karmdesh, one of the bloodiest confrontations between US forces and the taliban, in 2009. The banter and dialogue is credible and the battle (which takes up the entire second half of the film) is brilliantly and chaotically executed. Cast is ably led by Scott Eastwood - who is beginning to look more and more like his father with each passing film. Incidentally, he plays a soldier called Clint - Sgt Clint Romesha, awarded medal of honour. Riveting stuff.

Have to say that the movie was way better than i expected, pretty decent sci-fi horror\thriller. And one more thing that i've noticed is that finally you can hear some pretty decent soundtracks in Russian movies, this one or the Blackout are good examples of that.
